Ahoy, new buzznet sailors! Welcome to the buzzy cruise. Ya see, a lot of my friends have just joined buzznet, and there are some confusing "interwebz mannerz", as I call it, on this here site. Plus I was really bored last night and came up with this DO's and DON'T's list. Mostly don'ts. Anywho here we go.........

DON'T freak out because within the first 5 seconds of your buzznet life a "scary looking man with lots of tattoos who has the screename 'Panasonicyouth' " has added you. Numero uno, he is not scary looking. Numero two, that's  Mark. He's the community manager here at buzzy, and he is automatically added to everyone's friend list. So it would also be a good idea not to drop a note saying, "thanx for da add"

DON'T rape the capslock. It's annoys people. But there are some exceptions. You are permitted to use the capslock button when talking about books by Stephanie Meyer, ferrets, or when a group admin tells you that you can.

DON'T be a mass adder. If you only add people because you want your friend count to go up, you will quickly find that you actually have no friends. or a life.

DON'T be a spammer. You will get reported, and the almighty gods of buzznet will smite you. Seriously.

DON'T be racist. Just don't. No one will like you, and in 10 years you will end up like your crazy neighbor with the 27 parakeets.

DON'T self promote. If people like your work, the praise will come. If you self promote you just look like a desperate wannabe.

DON'T post revealing pictures of yourself. Ew. No.

DON'T whine about badges. Yes, the badgers may be cute, but they will bite your ass if you're not careful.

DO Participate in QOTD and the photo assignments. It's fun and you'll make lots of friends that way.

DO drop a note when you add someone. This lets people no you're not an aforementioned 'mass adder'

DO comment on people's stuff. It's a nice thing to do.

DO be crazy. Believe me, it's really fun.

DO join lots of groups. It's a great way to make friends and there's a group about pretty much everything.

DO go lolcats.com. It owns life.

DO make crazy list things like this. It'll make you happy.

 

Well, new buzzy members, this is the general do's and dont's of buzznet according to me. If you ever need any help, there's a help forum for just that. You're gonna love it here=]]]

 

Why does this yearly family reunion make me want to dress up like a meatloaf and go swim in a vat of battery acid filled with sharks??

I might be exagerating a tad here.

Maybe it's because I'm the only teenage girl surrounded by pre-teen and younger disney channel watchers. Maybe it's because of the awkward conversations the adults feel they are obligated to have with me about my summer. Maybe it's me trying to please my parents by talking to my younger cousins knowing, that they would much rather be doing something else and really don't care what I have to say. Maybe it's because I don't even care what I have to say.

Maybe it's because I feel like I don't fit in with my own flesh and blood.

*sigh*

This is going to be one looooooooong weekend.

Yeah I came back from camp early, i got sick=P

It is so amazing! I also got a 28 - 200 lens!!!

EXCITEMENT.

Expect a buttload of pictures from me in the next week. But I do have one problem....

What should I name it? If anyone has ideas please tell me. I have to go jump up and down like a little girl on a pogo stick now.

      Ah, Indpendence Day, a time to celebrate your patriotism and eat hot dogs. (Also a movie with Will Smith about aliens attacking the world, but I won't get into that now) Today all you Americans (and non-americans, be proud of your country too) should really be proud of your country. Yeah, maybe we're fighting an unpopular war with an unpopular president and have insanely high gas prices, but I bet we can overcome this, we always have. Anywho, think about the good things we have. We still have the freedoms of speech, expression and religion, gay marriage was just legalized in California, a nice big step towards true equality. Many people are saying we have nothing to be patriotic about, I respect their opinions, but disagree. Those people are dwelling in the bad and not looking towards the future. In November we can elect a new president, and bring change. Be proud that we can do that, be proud of democracy. I was raised to be proud of my country. My grandfather was a submarine commander in World War II and my mother always reminded me of the good our country has done. I'm not saying that we are perfect and everyone who says otherwise is wrong, but we are not horrible. Today is the one day of the year to be patriotic. So celebrate with your family and friends, watch some fireworks and really be proud of your country.

If nothing, eat way too many hot dogs.=]

Yep, this my exuse for once a year I get to write a journal about myself.

So what did I accomplish in my first day of being 14??

I went to the beach and got sunburned insanely. [I put sunscreen on, I swear!]

Got some awesome gifts. [my grandma got me a gift certificate to get myself a new camera!]

Ate a lot of ice cream [Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia mmmmmm....]

Hung around the house and watched some random show on food network [I have nothing to put in brackets here]

Went in the hot tub at night [not a good idea with horrible sunburn]

Ate cake [triple chocolate. mmmmmmm......]

So, that was my pointless description of my b-day. I'm surprised you got through it. I have no idea how to end this journal. This is awkward. I'll just end it like this: n___n yay.

Okey dokes, lots of people have been have been hating on buzzy lately, and yeah it needed a lot of it. But this place is still special. It's not another myspace wannabe, it actually wants to promote original content from original people.

So here are the top 5 resons buzzy has still got it:

#1 The scene queen/models/attention addicts/ really annoying people  are in the minority.

If you think about it there really are only a handful of these types on buzznet. A handful of people who think you want to know about their stalkers and what they did on the subway this morning. So yeah, they're can be pretty infuriating sometimes, but just imagine if there were as many of them as there were buzznet orginals!, then we'd have to change buzzy's name to another social networking website. (I'll give you a hint: it starts with "my" and ends with "space")

#2. We've got some pretty awesome groups on here

They've got groups for every interest!! Orignal people, original journals, bands, movies, advice, vampires, cupcakes, you name they've got it.

#3. People can write pointless top five lists like this and not feel like a total dweeb.

I'm not feeling the least bit dweebish at this moment. Okay maybe I am now, but that's only because I just used the word dweebish.

#4 You can have seroius converstions about seriuos topics and nobody will label you a funsucker.

Yes you can have a conversation about cupcakes and wombats, but you can also have one about abortion and poverty in Africa.

#5 You can make good friends that you're pretty sure won't stalk you and lie about their age.

Yeah, when I first came into the buzznet world I was very scared of creepy people asking me uncomfortable questions. [ I'm not saying their are no creepy people, I still use my internet safety skills.] Unlike myspace, you can report anyone who is bothering you and be assured that they have been smited by the buzznet gods. No one has ever made me feel any less than welcome here, and the compassion completely passes the hate here.

 

Yep, that was my pointless little list, I'm surprised you read the whole thing. I would love to here any other reasons buzznet has still got it! =] (i'm not begging for comments I'm trying to start converstion.)

Buzznet is getting taken over by the scene. Everyday you get a friend request from someone with kabillions of friends with no intention of ever speaking to you unless they need you to buzz something. Pictures of people we really don't care about pop up on our page. ( *cough* Jeffree Star *cough*) Buzzy is supposed to be a place where ordinary people can express themselves, not get bombarded by attentionwhores.

Come on guys, buzzy used to be a loving place where people from all over the world could interact without all the myspce type crap. Let's go back to that time.

Hey people! How's this for a headline?

WIFE SHOOTS FLAT SCREEN TV IN HOME TEMPERATURE DISPUTE.

Can you say anger management? Plus she's 61 years old. Here's the story:

Once upon a time there was a woman named Cheryl Grucz. Her husband wanted to the temperature up a little bit, because he was getting chilly. But Mrs. Grucz likes the temperature the way it is. So naturally, she whips out a gun shoots their flat screen tv, while her husband (age 65) cowers behind a pillow.

Sound insane enough? Wait till you here their 911 call.

After the husband called 911 Mrs. grucz decided to pick up on the other line to tell her side of the story:

"I'm not going to hurt him, he has just pushed me over the edge, thats's all. He has had a stroke and now he's just taking it all out on me."

Real nice huh?  Ah, lover's quarrels, so passionate, so intense, so.......insane.

In case you wanna know Cheryl Grucz was charged with assualt with intent to do great bodily harm, a felony firearms charge, and is also ordered to complete a domestic violence program.

*sigh* it makes me reall sad to write this, but i think it must be said: I never go on the mcr page anymore.

"Oh no!!!! She's not an mcr fan anymore!! Let's shun her and call her a fake fan!!!"

NO.

I am still a big fan of this band and they will always have a special meaning in my life. The reason that I don't go on anymore is because of the "fans".

They are always gossiping and if anyone says a single neagative towards the band or any of the guys they attack you.

MCR ARE NOT GODS. THEY WILL MAKE MISTAKES. THEY HAVE BEEN WRONG IN THE PAST AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES IN THE FUTURE.

You "fans" have to learn that, and until that happens, I won't be taking any regular visits to the mcr page.

So, I was looking on one of my strange news websites to find a new story for insane blog, when I saw an ad in the margin that caught my eye. Before I knew it I saw one of the most insane inventions yet.

Ladies and Gentleman, let me tell you a little about the washlet. The washlet is a toilet seat, but not just any toilet seat, this one is special. You see this toilet seat has buttons. One for back bottom cleaning, one for front bottom cleaning, and one for drying. Oh, and did I mention the ever so comfortable heated seat?

Now consuming all this knowledge I have only one question:  HOW LAZY IS AMERICA WHEN WE DON'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY TO WIPE OUR OWN BUTTS?

Whats next? A fork that feeds you so you don't have to lift it? or maybe thats to much trouble. Maybe a device that chews for you? I am very worried about the future of this country.

Today in stupid criminals:

Robber demands $4.00, and not a cent more.

Thats right you heard me a robber only wanted four bucks out of the victims $10 bill. Let me tell you this truly insane story. A teenager walked out of the corner store carrying a plastic rose for his mother, when a man came up to him and said he wanted the rose. The teenager said he could buy one at the store. The crazy's response? He takes out a knife, thrusts in towards the kid, demands the cheap plastic rose and money. The kid takes out his crisp 10 dollar bill, and tries to give it to the guy. But no! The lunatic only wants four dollars! So he does what any insane person would do, he takes the kid to a pizza place and makes the kid get change for the 10. The man takes the $4, lets the kid keep the rest of the money and leaves him alone. He now faces 25 years in jail.

The moral of the story? Spend the few extra bucks and get your mom a real rose.

yep, i've decided to call it insane blog, i'm insane so why shouldn't my blog be?

Anywho, here's a story thats pretty insane itself.

Are you tired of the horrible, awful, un-christian things you can find on you tube? Well, are ya? If you answered yes, you're in for a treat . Now there's a new less shocking youtube- GODTUBE!  Yes this is true, I have visited the site (whose slogan is "broadcast him"), and let me tell ya, its pretty darn weird. Complete with young kids reciting portions of the bible, to strange christian rap videos, these internet fearing folks have certainly made an interesting website.
